I am alright, I am not alright... 2015-2016

I am alright, I am not alright...

I am alright, I am not alright includes two installations, the first using self-harm as a metaphor for the struggles, pain and depression felt by new arrivals in a strange country, and the second using the treatment and healing of an old wound as a metaphor for the process of gradual integration and acceptance in the community and culture of the adopted country.
